OUR VIZSLAS MEAN EVERYTHING TO US
We have been a Vizsla family since 2003, when we got our first Vizsla, Maggie. She was Jen's heart dog and our whole family fell in love with her and the breed. Their soft brown eyes have melted our hearts, their willingness to please has put a smile on our faces and their quintessential "Velcro-ness" has wiggled its' way into our souls.
The Vizslas' ancestors, the Magyar Vizslas were the choice hunting dogs in the Austria-Hungarian Empire. They were part pointer and part retriever, they were bred to have a keen sense of smell and incredible drive. These dogs became the CROWN JEWEL of Hungary. Only the crème de la crème owned them.
Our dogs are raised as members of our family, inside our home and not outside in kennels. They are part of our family first. They are happy to tag along on a 7-mile hike and then just as content to jump on the sofa and cuddle, while we watch television. Our dogs are the "CROWN JEWELL" of our family.
Jen is a member of the Vizsla Club of America and she is on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Rio Salado Vizsla Club, she also holds the position of Membership Chair for the RSVC.
Our dogs brighten our lives with their affectionate and adorable personalities. We spend a tremendous amount of time with them, participating in conformation dog shows, field hunt training, hunt testing and obedience training. We realize that our puppies will primarily go to pet homes and we want to improve on the breed and produce the best possible puppies that we can. We breed for health, sound temperament, natural ability and conformation to the breed standard.
At the end of the day, our girls are our friends and family. They follow us into every room. I don't think I've been alone in the bathroom in over 19 years! We can't imagine life without them.
They definitely live up to their nickname of the Velcro Dog!
